Editorial standards
How InvestTimes chooses, checks, writes and corrects its analysis.
Facts and sources
Every number, date, name and quote in an InvestTimes article comes from a public source that the desk has opened: company releases, regulatory filings, court and government documents and reputable press. Each article uses at least 3 sources and lists them at its end so that readers can check them. If a figure cannot be verified, it is left out. Company figures that have not been independently audited are described as such.
Quotes
We quote people only with the exact wording from a source and only when the wording itself matters. We never invent quotes, people or events.
Analysis and opinion
Articles are original analysis written in our own words, never a rewrite or translation of a source. Opinion is confined to the closing section of each article, headed Our view, so readers can tell reporting from judgement.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by the InvestTimes Editorial desk. Partners and sponsors never review articles before publication, and any sponsored or contributed content is clearly labelled. Links to companies in the body of an article are editorial choices, not paid placements.
Ethics and investment
InvestTimes publishes commentary and analysis for information only. We do not recommend buying or selling securities, and we do not publish material intended to move a price.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct the article and note the correction at its end. Readers can report an error through the contact form; we review every report.
